PR DISASTERS
TASK 3
1. Although there's plenty of controversy about it, it's not known for sure. The only real fact is that it was called 'the practically unsinkable' by some papers, but this is different from being described as unsinkable.
2. Yes, it did. The company had hired the places where to spray graffiti.
3. The company didn't make so much profit in the year 2005.
4. Yes, he did. He apologized, however he didn't manage to stop the bad publicity.
5. No, he didn't. Although the judge's decision was in favour of the burger company, he also said that some of the claims were true.
6. They should have ignored it.
TASK 4
1. Backfire: something that would initially be positive for you finally turns against you
2. Not stepping out of line: not breaking the rules
3. Unleashed: Start
4. Sparked offf: Start
5. Tarnish: damage
